On December 20, 2009, a team of North American climbers will leave the comforts of home and fly to the city of Santiago, Chile. From there they will travel to Mendoza, Argentina to board a bus that will transport them to the start of a forty-one kilometer trail. Three days of hiking will lead them to the base camp of the highest mountain in the Americas - Cerro Aconcagua, elevation 6,962 meters. From here, the real challenge begins. Over the next fourteen days the team will attempt to reach the summit of the "Stone Sentinel".

The “Aconcagua Climb for Prostate Cancer Research”, team is composed of individuals in their late forties and older, all with a passion for adventure and physical challenge. Every member team is acutely aware that their  physical health may be altered in the next twenty years by this disease.

Sponsor a Climb for Prostate Team Member. All donations will go to the VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation and the Prostate Centre at VGH.
